Projects
WaterFollowing comprehensive studies conducted on the needs of the areas which highlighted specific needs of the population in Salaxlay and the surrounding localities and the findings of the numerous reports commissioned and published by international and local NGOs, UNDP and other UN organisations, it became apparent that this particular area has long been neglected and lags far behind in the availability of services currently easily accessible in other areas. In the case of the maternity provision, most of the maternity services are located in the cities and out of reach of communities such as those in Salahlay localities.

Currently the nearest maternity clinic people from Salahlay is 60 miles away. For that reason the provision of maternity service to the population in Salahlay and surrounding nomadic community was opted for as a priority project by the organisation. The intended project is to be a comprehensive maternity hospital that caters for and meets all maternity services needs of both people in the towns and the nomadic communities living in all directions of Salahlay town.
